[Even if he wasn't currently an aura-sensing spider hellbeast, Jack knows more about covert ops than he tends to let on--he learned from the best, after all.
There's no real explanation for why he's here, as it's certainly true that Jack would rather not be seen at this point, especially by people he knows and is familiar with. Perhaps he just wants to see the damage up close and personal--he lingers on Genji's missing limb for a long moment, as if he's considering what to say.]
No.
[Nothing happened. He's just a giant spider monster, and he's coming inside now.]
[ Genji blinks a few times in surprise when Jack admits that he came over here for no other reason than to make sure that he'd contacted Angela. Is this Jack's way of expressing concern? Genji can see the way that he's eyeing his right side. ]
I did, yes. Did you not take me at my word? [ Genji asks the question with a twist of his mouth. He's only teasing.
He reaches out to close the door behind Jack, then moves to settle back onto the bed. He can't stop himself from continuing to stare. No matter how long he looks, the strangeness of Jack's transformation doesn't fade. ]
Did you need to stay here?
[ Not that there's a lot of room, but Jack could sleep on the floor... maybe? ]
[It's hard for Jack to get comfortable like this--without real knowledge of the workings of this body, he is not quite sure how he's supposed to settle in. It's not like he can really sit in a chair, so he remains looming right at the entrance.]
[ It's true that this room isn't exactly set up for an Aranean, and Genji looks around the small space, searching for some kind of solution. It doesn't seem like Jack intends to stay too long, and if it turns out he does need to sleep here, then they'll figure something out. ]
She said we could take care of it once we got back to BASE. I'll go see her soon.
[ Angela won't feel at ease until she sees him in person, he knows.
Genji sighs and shakes his head. ] I didn't want to worry her. I already died on her once.
[Jack is left in a sort of awkward physical limbo, unsure as to whether or not he should stop looming and make an attempt to sit, or just kind of stand around looking like he doesn’t know how he’s supposed to sit. Maybe he doesn't need to sit? Maybe it's not only anatomically impossible, but totally unnecessary! Maybe he will never get tired, and will never need to sit.
That would be fine.
For now, he shifts his weight a little awkwardly, very clearly not knowing what to do with it. It's pointless to think Genji might not notice it, so Jack presses onward.]
All right.
[He's not going to keep fighting with Genji about whether or not he went to Angela--not when that answer should theoretically be good enough for him. What he does know is that without one of his arms, he's a liability, and like Genji said, he already died on her once.]
[ There is an awkward pause there, where Jack seems unsure of what to do next. Did he really come all this way just to ask that one question? Or had he wanted some company after all, or a quiet acceptance of his altered appearance? Genji can at least hope that he hasn't done anything to make Jack feel uncomfortable; that's the last thing that he would want, having been in his shoes so many times before.
It's almost instinctive to want to protest Jack's suggestion that he get some rest, but the fact is that he is exhausted after the unexpected trip into the wilds of this planet, not to mention his close scrape that almost added another death to his tally.
Besides, if this is Jack's way of asking if he can stay here, Genji may as well accept it. ]
Very well. Wake me if anything of note happens. I know I may be down an arm, but that doesn't make me any less capable, if duty calls.
[ With that said, Genji settles down onto the bed, searching for a comfortable position before he lets his eyes fall shut. ]
Good night, Jack.
[ Jack is free to do what he wants in the small room, in the meantime. ]

Yeah, maybe for a minute. What did she say?
